  • 1/3 cup Brown Sugar
  • 2 tbsp Sugar
  • 1 tsp Cinnamon
  • 1 tsp Lemon Juice
  • 1 cup Water
  • 3 large Apples (peeled & chopped)
  • 3 tbsp Cornstarch

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, mix together brown sugar, sugar, cinnamon, lemon juice, and water. Stir in the peeled and chopped apples.
  2. Heat the mixture over medium heat until boiling. Lower the heat and simmer for about 10 minutes until the apples are tender.
  3. Remove 1/2 cup of the cooking liquid into a small bowl, then add cornstarch and mix thoroughly. Return this mixture to the saucepan.
  4. Cook on low heat while stirring constantly until the salsa thickens to your desired consistency.
  5. Let cool before serving with cinnamon sugar chips or using as a topping for desserts.
