  • 400g flank steak or sirloin, thinly sliced
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp cornstarch
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 4 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp hoisin sauce
  • 1 tbsp light brown sugar
  • 1 tsp rice vinegar
  • ½ tsp chili flakes (optional)
  • ½ cup beef stock or water
  • 250g egg noodles
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp fresh ginger, grated

Instructions

  1. Marinate sliced beef with soy sauce, cornstarch, and sesame oil for 10 minutes.
  2. Boil water and cook egg noodles until tender; drain well.
  3. Mix all sauce ingredients in a bowl.
  4. Heat vegetable oil in a wok over medium-high heat; sear marinated beef until browned. Remove and set aside.
  5. Sauté garlic and ginger in the same wok before adding broccoli; stir-fry until bright green.
  6. Return beef to the wok along with the sauce; mix well.
  7. Add drained noodles; stir-fry until everything is heated through.
