  • 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream (for frosting)
  • 1/2 tsp fine salt (for frosting)
  • 3/4 cup salted peanuts, chopped (for frosting)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract (for frosting)
  • 1/3 cup heavy whipping cream (for ganache)
  • 1/2 cup milk chocolate chips (for ganache)
  • 8 Mini Snickers bars
  • 1/2 cup salted peanuts, chopped (for base)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare four 8-inch round cake pans with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, sift together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together warm water, buttermilk, oil, eggs, and vanilla until smooth.
  4. Slowly combine the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just blended; avoid overmixing.
  5. Pour batter evenly into prepared pans and bake for 22-25 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  6. Allow layers to cool before frosting with peanut butter frosting and topping with chocolate ganache.
