  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 large egg

  • For the filling: ½ cup unsalted butter, softened, ½ cup brown sugar, 2 tbsp ground cinnamon
  • For the glaze: 4 oz cream cheese, softened, ½ cup powdered sugar, milk to adjust consistency, and vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a muffin tin with liners or grease it lightly.
  2. In one bowl, combine flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt. In another bowl, mix melted butter, milk, egg, and vanilla extract.
  3. Stir the wet ingredients into the dry ones until just combined.
  4. Mix softened butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon for the filling until smooth.
  5. Fill muffin cups halfway with batter, add a spoonful of filling, then top with more batter and swirl gently.
  6. Bake for 18-20 minutes until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. For the glaze, mix cream cheese with powdered sugar and milk until smooth. Drizzle over cooled muffins.
