  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
  • 1 tablespoon garam masala
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder (optional for heat)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 cup tomato puree
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup plain yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Season the cubed chicken with salt, pepper, garam masala, cumin, paprika, and chili powder (if desired). Marinate for 15 minutes.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, melt butter and oil. Sauté onions until translucent. Add garlic and ginger; cook until fragrant.
  3. Add marinated chicken to the skillet and brown on all sides (about 5–7 minutes). Stir in tomato puree.
  4. Lower heat and mix in heavy cream, yogurt, and lemon juice. Simmer for 10 minutes to meld flavors.
  5. Optionally prepare garlic sauce by mixing minced garlic with softened butter.
