  • 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 and 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 and 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 3/4 cup mini chocolate chips
  • Flaky sea salt, for topping

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, cream softened butter with brown and granulated sugars until smooth. Mix in vanilla extract and eggs until well incorporated.
  2. Gradually add flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt; mix until a dough forms. Fold in both semi-sweet and mini chocolate chips.
  3. Chill scooped dough balls in an airtight container for at least 3 hours or freeze for one hour.
  4. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line cookie sheets with parchment paper. Bake chilled dough balls for 12-16 minutes until edges are set but centers look slightly underbaked.
  5. Allow cookies to cool on baking sheets for about 5 minutes before transferring them to wire racks.
