Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 ripe mangos (peeled & diced)
  • 23 habanero peppers (stemmed & seeded)
  • 4 cloves garlic (minced)
  • ½ cup honey (or maple syrup for vegan)
  • ¼ cup apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce (or coconut aminos)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and habaneros; sauté for 1–2 minutes until fragrant.
  2. Transfer the mixture to a blender and add diced mango, honey, apple cider vinegar, soy sauce, and water. Blend until smooth.
  3. Pour the blended sauce back into the saucepan and simmer on medium-low heat for 10–12 minutes while stirring occasionally until slightly thickened.
  4. Taste and adjust sweetness or tanginess as desired. If too thick, stir in additional water.
  5. Allow the sauce to cool completely before storing in jars.
