  • 1 head of cabbage, sliced into strips
  • 3 large carrots, grated
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 lb ground organic beef, turkey, or chicken
  • 1 tbsp avocado oil
  • 1/3 cup coconut aminos
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 5 green onions, chopped
  • Sea salt, to taste
  • Pepper, to taste
  • Dash of red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions

  1. Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add avocado oil.
  2. Add sliced cabbage to the skillet; stir until coated in oil. After a few minutes, add grated carrots and cook for about 5 minutes until softened.
  3. Incorporate minced garlic, coconut aminos, and sesame oil; season with salt and pepper. Cook until veggies are tender.
  4. Remove vegetables from the skillet; set aside in a bowl. Add ground meat to the same pan; season with salt and pepper and cook until browned.
  5. Drain excess fat if necessary, then combine cooked meat with the vegetables in the bowl. Stir well and top with chopped green onions before serving.
