  • 23 tbsp milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (163°C). Grease and flour a 12-cup bundt pan.
  2. Cream together softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add eggs one at a time, mixing in vanilla extract and vinegar.
  4. In another bowl, sift together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Combine buttermilk with red food coloring in a separate container.
  6. Gradually alternate adding dry ingredients and red buttermilk mixture into the batter.
  7. Pour mixture into prepared pan and bake for 75-85 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Cool in the pan for 15 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
  9. For optional glaze, blend cream cheese until smooth, add powdered sugar gradually, then mix in milk and vanilla until desired consistency is reached.
