  • 1 sleeve finely crushed saltine crackers
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 medium yellow onion, minced
  • 1 medium green bell pepper, minced
  • 3 tablespoons ketchup
  • 1/2 cup canned crushed tomatoes

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, crushed crackers, onion, bell pepper, garlic powder, ketchup, brown sugar, onion powder, black pepper, Worcestershire sauce (or alternative), and crushed tomatoes. Add eggs and mix until just combined.
  3. Scoop about 2 tablespoons of mixture and roll into balls; place on a lined baking sheet.
  4. Bake for approximately 50 minutes or until browned and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 160°F / 71°C).
  5. Allow to cool slightly before serving.
